Major Streamer Accelerates Content Ambitions with VIDA's Unified Platform
How a fast-growing streamer transformed its media operations to support rapid scaling.
‍
CHALLENGES
A Major Streamer was rapidly expanding its premium content library across its multiple markets but this growth was hindered by a fragmented ecosystem of legacy platforms including various cloud collaboration platforms and storage, legacy DAMs and FTP servers. This disparate set-up presented a scaling challenge, requiring a consolidated, efficient foundation to manage escalating content volumes and complex distribution workflows across multiple teams, multiple platforms and external partners.

VIDA's cloud-native platform was selected as the operational nucleus to unify its media ecosystem. The implementation focused on three core areas:
1. VIDA Content OS: Centralised Asset Management & Orchestration‍
- Successful migration of over tens of thousands of assets, representing hundreds of TBs of data, into the VIDA platform from legacy systems.
- Each ingested asset automatically generates a proxy file for previewing, audio waveforms and enriched with AI-generated transcriptions, transforming the archive into an instantly searchable strategic asset
- Integrated seamlessly with the Streamer’s cloud-based title database to trigger instant asset creation in VIDA as soon as a title is available in any internal system.
- Automated transcoding and delivery to multiple, pre-defined destinations accelerating time-to-market.
- The platform is now used by hundreds of users across multiple teams including content operations, creative, legal, programming, supplier management and PR & press departments.

2. Launchpad: Standardised Supplier Ingest‍
External suppliers now use Launchpad to upload content directly to VIDA.
- Users create delivery packages using pre-defined templates and assign them to suppliers.
- AI automatically extracts metadata from file names and associated fields upon upload, increasing data accuracy.
- Automated notifications alert teams to new content uploads, enabling review and approval within a single application.
3. Storefront & Connect2: Secure Collaboration, Screening and Asset Delivery
- StoreFront serves as a centralised, secure content screening tool, providing a single access point for teams to review and share content.
- Connect2 enables secure sharing of audio-visual content with internal stakeholders, localisation agencies, and external partners. Users can include subtitles or dubs and offer two viewing modes: in-platform screening with the VIDA player or download access, both with options for localisation and watermarking.

The partnership has established a future-proof operational backbone for the Major Streamer, turning content complexity into a competitive advantage.
- Consolidated an archive of hundreds of TBs from multiple legacy sources into a single, intelligent repository with AI-enhanced discoverability.
- Enabled enterprise-wide adoption, with hundreds of users across numerous departments and teams leveraging the platform for daily workflows.
- Streamlined post-production and distribution workflows through automated transcoding and delivery.
- Managed localisation and approvals for external partners in a structured, secure manner.
